Record Number of Older Adults and Teens Jump Into Fitness with Life Fitness Circuit Series at Beaver County YMCA

Facility quadruples “Just for You” circuit program participation in the first month

          Schiller Park, Ill.  (April 14, 2008) – Members of Beaver County YMCA in New Brighton, Pa., are engaging in a new, less intimidating way to exercise thanks to the ‘Just for You’ program geared specifically toward fitness novices. This unique fitness space designed with Life Fitness Circuit Series equipment is in high demand as the number of “Just for You” classes at this 10,000-plus member facility quadrupled in a single month.

           “We were looking for equipment that could engage seniors and teens that are too self-conscious or intimidated to exercise in the general Wellness Room where most of our equipment is,” said Bill Parise, president and CEO of Beaver County YMCA. “The equipment needed to be easy to use and non-intimidating for our members, which is why the Circuit Series was a great fit. With the ‘Just for You’ program, the equipment is in use from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. everyday – our members love it!”    

          The ‘Just for You’ program features 40 minutes of alternating cardio and strength exercises using 10 different Circuit Series pieces of equipment. Classes are offered for members at all fitness levels and ages, including teens, older adults and families. The ultimate goal of the program is to introduce participants to exercise, giving them confidence to use the other equipment in the Wellness Room.
