Three Life Fitness products win in Health magazine’s Best of Fitness 2005 awards Exercise equipment company’s treadmill, bike and weight system take top honors

SCHILLER PARK , Ill. – Jan. 6, 2005 – Three Life Fitness products took top honors in Health magazine’s Best of Fitness 2005 awards. The leading manufacturer of a full line of cardiovascular and strength-training equipment won three of five awards in the equipment category: the T9i treadmill was named best treadmill, the R9i Lifecycle exercise was recognized as the best bike and the ParaBody GS6 Gym System won best weight system.

In the January/February issue, available on newsstands now, Health describes the T9i as an “extra-large cushy piece of fitness equipment [that] does everything the treadmills at your gym do—and maybe more.” The magazine’s assessment of the R9i Lifecycle exercise bike suggests users can finally ride a stationary cycle without needing reading materials to pass the time: “The display on this bike is entertaining enough to sustain you through an entire workout.” Its description of the ParaBody GS6 Gym System notes, “this sleek machine [is] your prescription for staying strong well into the future.”

Fitness equipment manufacturers were invited to nominate one product in each of four equipment categories—elliptical cross-trainers, indoor cycles, treadmills and weight systems—and one product for the “most innovative” piece of equipment. The winners were chosen by Lynn Allen, president of Heartland Fitness in Ames , Iowa , and an advisor to the Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association.
